Here find useful information about Green Line 3 Line information Construction Operation on this line started in 2012 along 23 km from Attaba station to Adly Mansour station. There are 19 stations which were built in 4 phases: Phase 1: 5 stations in 2012 (Attaba, Bab El Shaaria, El Giesh, Abdou Pasha, Abbasia) Phase 2: 4 stations in 2014 (Fair Zone, Stadium, Kolleyet El Banat, Al Ahram) Phase 3: 4 stations in 2019 (Haroun, Heliopolis, Alf Masken, El Shams Club) Phase 4: 6 stations in 2020 (El Nozha, Hisham Barakat, Qubaa, Omar Ibn El Khatab, Haykstep, Adly Mansour) It connects with line 1 in Gamal Abd Elnasser station (under construction) and with line 2 in Attaba station. All stations are air-conditioned and provided with lifts and escalators. Operation Daily operation of trains starts from 5:00 am to 12:00 am Last train time in Green Line 3: From Adly Mansour station at 11:15 pm From Attaba station at 11:55 pm The trip duration from Attaba to Adly Mansour is 37 minutes and vice versa with a headway of 6.5 minutes from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and 11 minutes from 9:00 pm to the end of service. Our fleet of trains consists of 15 trains with plans to increase them in order to respond to the increase in the number of passengers. Extensions 15 more stations are under construction to be added to Green Line 3. They will pass through new areas including Zamalek, Imbaba, Gameat El Dwal AL Arabia and more. The new terminus of Green Line 3 will be Rod El Farag and Cairo University. Green Line 3 will connect with line 1 in Gamal Abd Elnasser station (under construction). How to reach the station When approaching a station, entrances can be identified from far away by a colored totem matching the metro line color, with an illuminated "M" sign at the top. Elders and people of determination can enter each station from the street level by a dedicated elevator. Train safety Items that could injure or endanger people are not permitted on the metro. They include but are not limited to: Flammable liquids and gases (petrol, kerosene, LPG, propane) Firearms Explosives Corrosive or acidic chemicals Petrol-powered vehicles or items of any kind Large items including surfboards Animals and carry-on items In order to guarantee your safety and security, it is strictly forbidden to bring animals into the metro area, in stations or onboard trains. Heating and cooling on board trains Passenger comfort and safety are two of our main priorities, which is why all our metro trains have heating and cooling. We have extra passenger information officers in our operations centre to support passengers via social media. Carry drinking water to stay hydrated. If possible, travel in the morning or evening to avoid the hottest part of the day. Reserved carriage to women Only females are allowed on the women's carriage. There are 2 cars in the middle of the train for women only. Women can use all cars. Priority seating All our trains have priority seating for passengers who require extra support when travelling. Upon request, these seats must be vacated for seniors, pregnant women, or passengers with an injury, illness or vision impairment. Priority seats are with signage above showing who the seats are intended for. Behaviour rules How to travel the right way: Pay the ticket price. Make sure you are heading in the right direction. Wait for the doors to open completely before boarding the train. Prepare for the exit as you approach your station. Stand to the right on the escalators to free the way for people in a hurry. The use of lifts is reserved exclusively for persons with reduced mobility and special needs. It is prohibited to: Board the train with an animal. Eat or drink on the train. Pull improperly the emergency stop handle. Board the train with a huge object. Carry dangerous products aboard the train (gas cylinders, flammable, sharp and explosive products...etc.). Security rules: It is important to stay behind the security strip when you are on the platform and to hold your personal belongings. Don't put yourself in danger! Getting off the track is prohibited. In the event of an incident, please inform an employee of RDMC and they'll do the necessary to resolve the problem. It is important not to go down, up or to hamper the closing of doors as soon as the sound signal is heard. In the event of a station emergency: Locate the assistance point on the platform. Press the intercom button. Follow the agent’s instructions. In case of an emergency on the escalators, press the stop button. In case of an emergency in a subway car: Locate the emergency stop handle. Pull the emergency stop handle. All travellers/passengers are required to have a valid ticket and to be able to present it to any person authorized to verify the tickets, otherwise the passenger will be subject to pay a fine.
